According to Young, "Gettin' You Home" was written in "about 45 minutes". You will lose access to unlimited entertainment. Chris Young has a voice and it’s goin to be around for a VERY long time…. Can you imagine a country hunk like Chris singing that song to you. It does something for me but I can’t mention it here.
Chris Young
On this suggestive song Young sings about his date's black dress. Much as she looks nice in it, all he can think about is "gettin' home" and seeing her black dress hit the floor. This is the second single from Country music artist Chris Young's sophomore studio album, The Man I Want To Be.
And apparently my husband’s too cause he considers it one of his favorite Chris songs. Chris’s vocals are always so great…but when you combine it with the fact that he co-wrote this song with two AMAZING songwriters, just shows you the league he should be in. I’m a big Chris Young fan, and what he does is pretty impressive, given the current state of pop country music. Of course, the flip of that is that he hasn’t had a hit yet. The fact that “Drinking Me Lonely” wasn’t a hit still stings a little bit, because I remember how stunned I was when I heard it on “Nashville Star”.
I'm In Love With A Married Woman
Songwriter Cory Batten suggested the lyric "all I can think about is gettin' you home" to his frequent songwriting partner Kent Blazy, who has written several songs for Garth Brooks. The two later met with Young and began working on other songwriting ideas. After a morning of little progress, the group decided to go to lunch. Once they had returned, the three friends began talking about their experiences with women. When Young elaborated on his own relationship, they decided to write a song about a woman who, despite getting dressed up for going out on a date, is "just as excited to get home" and have sex.

Either hearin Chris Young sing it live or on the radio this song has HIT written all over it. Granted RADIO didn’t pick up and play “Voices” the way they should have, I have no doubt what so ever, “Gettin You Home” is goin to be one of the most played and most requested songs of 2009.
