Usually, lighter shade shirts work very well with a black and blue suit. Wearing a cream or pale gray shirt with a darker shade necktie gives a softer look. Pairing a white shirt with a black and blue suit gives a winning look.
What’s even more amazing is that, despite being an optical illusion, the dress appears blue and black to some people and white and gold to others. In the case of the blue and black dress, the brain interprets the colors differently depending on whether the dress is seen in shadow or in direct light. The blue and black dress illusion highlights the importance of lighting in color perception. It also shows how the human brain is constantly interpreting the world around us, and how our perception of reality is often subjective. A white shirt is a wonderful choice while wearing a black and blue suit. This perfect coordination gives a simple and classic look for men.

Some people saw the dress as white and gold, while others saw it as blue and black. The dress illusion, as it came to be known, was one of the most talked-about topics on social media that year. The blue and black dress, also known as “the dress that broke the Internet,” is a photograph of a dress posted on the social media website Tumblr in February 2015, which became a viral Internet sensation. The photograph, which was originally posted on the blog site What Color Is This Dress? Nearly three months after the infamous blue and black dress (or was it white and gold?) tore the Internet apart, three teams of scientists have provided a closer look at the science behind the viral phenomenon. In their papers, published Thursday in the journal Current Biology, the teams have proposed reasons that different people saw different colors, and what the whole thing means for our understanding of visual perception.
In one study, Michael Webster, a psychologist from the University of Nevada, Reno, places blame for Dressgate on the ambiguity of the color blue, and people’s inability to reliably discern blue objects from blue lighting. He said that our vision was good at telling if we were looking at a white paper in red light, or a red paper in white light, but that process did not work easily for all colors, and blue tends to be problematic. The researchers found that the colors people reported are the same colors found in daylight — which tends to be bluish at noon and yellowish at dawn or dusk — in agreement with Conway's team. As such, the phenomenon would not have happened if the dress had been red, they said.

Similar theories have been expounded by the University of Liverpool's Paul Knox, who stated that what the brain interprets as colour may be affected by the device the photograph is viewed on, or the viewer's own expectations. Anya Hurlbert and collaborators also considered the problem from the perspective of colour perception. They attributed the differences in perception to individual perception of colour constancy. Cates Holderness, who ran the Tumblr page for BuzzFeed at the site's New York offices, noted a message from McNeill asking for the site's help in resolving the colour dispute of the dress. At the time she dismissed it, but then checked the page near the end of her workday and saw that it had received around 5,000 notes in that time, which she said "is insanely viral ". Tom Christ, Tumblr's director of data, said at its peak the page was getting 14,000 views a second , well over the normal rates for content on the site.
The blue and black dress illusion is one of the most famous optical illusions of all time. The dress, which appeared on the internet in February 2015, became an overnight sensation, with people arguing over whether the dress was blue and black, or white and gold. The illusion is thought to occur because the human brain interprets colors differently in different lighting conditions. Men's slim fit black blue suit is still noteworthy and appealing among other color suits and maintaining its top position.
Some people reported their perception of the colors flipped after being tested again. The dress was included on multiple year-end lists of notable internet memes in 2015. In South Africa, the Salvation Army attempted to re-direct some of the mass awareness generated by the dress towards the issue of domestic violence.
